Little Mikey Amigurumi Pattern
I felt it was time to show some appreciation to some non-Pokémon characters, so moving onto a little bit of Pixar.
Monsters Inc is my favourite Pixar film, probably favourite animation of all time actually! One of my favourite moments is when Sulley tries to comfort Boo and shows her a one-eyed plush toy, Little Mikey, and sings “Oh he’s a happy bear”. I haven’t seen any Little Mikey amigurumis around (I honestly haven’t looked very hard either), so I thought I would make my own. I did start him ages and ages ago, so it has taken me quite some time to finish. All those Pokémon just kept distracting me... But here we are! He is finally finished.
Little Mikey is approximately 13.5cm tall, and 6.5cm in width, and approximately 4.5cm from front to back. He wights 45 grams (this includes all materials used to make him).
I want to crochet some more lesser appreciated Disney & Pixar characters and would love to hear your suggestions! Please pop your ideas in the comments.
Thank you! And enjoy the pattern!

R38: (dc, dec) x 10 (20)
Fasten off and leave a long end fow sewing. Fold the piece flat (ten sts on either side, making sure it is flat and that it’s parallel to the start of the top of the head), whip st the end closed. Weave in the end.
EYE BALL
Yarn: White
Before we start crocheting the white eyeball, we are going to take our blue felt and cut out a round piece slightly bigger than the 9mm safety eyes to create the Little Mikey’s blue iris. Cut a little plus sign in the middle of the blue felt so you can fit the safety eye through and trim around the edges until you’re happy with the amount of iris.
Round 1: dc 8 in Magic Ring (8), make sure not to tighten the magic ring too much until you’ve fitted the safety eye
R2: inc in all sts around (16)
R3: (dc 3, inc) x 4 (20)
You can insert the safety eye (with blue felt iris) through the magic ring, and tighten as much as you can. Don’t attach the washer until you’ve finished the eyeball to make sure you’re happy with how it looks.
R4: (dc 2, inc, dc 2) x 4 (24)
R5: dc 24
R6: (inc, dc 3) x 3 only, leave the rest of the round unworked (15)
Fasten off and leave a long end to sew the piece onto the face. Place the washer. Add a little bit of stuffing when sewing the piece onto the face.
FEET
Yarn: Mocha

For the next section we will be working in rows to create the heal – no need to fasten off, just continue as follows:
R4 (rs): dc 6, ch1, turn
R5 (ws): dc 6, ch1, turn
R6 (rs): dc 6, we are now working in rounds again so keep going without turning: – dec in side of row and next dc from previous round, dec x 2, dec in next dc and side of next row (10)

R11: dc 2, and leave the rest of the round unworked
