ASSEMBLY

Once all the crocheted pieces are attached and embroidery floss details have been sewn use clear PVA glue to attach the felt pieces.

R33-34: dc 8
Fasten off.
Stuff body and leg further if needed. Weave in loose end & hole and the bottom of the foot by inserting darning needle in the inner loops of the hole and pull tight to close the hole. Add a few stitches if needed.
Continue with the second leg:
R32: attach the yar in st number 13 (leaving the two stitches between the legs unworked), dc in the same st as the yarn was attached, dc 2, dec x 2, dc 3, and skip the remaining sts (8)
R33-34: dc 8
Fasten off and follow the same weaving instructions as the first leg.
ARMS
Yarn: Black
Make 2
Round 1: dc 4 in Magic Ring (6)
R2: (inc, dc) x 2 (6)
R3-8: dc 6
Fasten off and leave a long end to sew the piece onto body.
POINTY TUFT OF HAIR

Fasten off and leave a long end to sew the piece onto the top of the head.
BOW SHAPED FEELERS – HEAD
Yarn: White
Make 4 (2 for each bow)
We’re going to create each side of the bow separately, sewing them together at the middle:
Round 1: dc 4 in Magic Ring (4)
R2: inc in all sts around (8)
R3: (dc, inc) x 4 (12)
R4: dc 12
R5: dc 5, inc x 2, dc 5 (14)
R6-7: dc 14
Stuff lightly
R8: dc 5, dec x 2, dc 5 (12)
R9: dc 12
R10: (dc, dec) x 4 (8)
Fasten off. Weave in loose end by inserting darning needle in the front loop of each st and pull tight to close the hole.
Use the same long end to sew two pieces together. You’ll see that the increases from R5 creates a slight bump on one side. So ensure that the bumps on each piece face each other when sewing together.
BOW SHAPED FEELERS - NECK
Yarn: White
Make 2 (to make one bow)
Once again, we will create each side of the bow separately, sewing them together at the middle:
Round 1: dc 4 in Magic Ring (4)
R2: inc in all sts around (8)
R3: (dc, inc) x 4 (12)
R4: dc 5, inc x 2, dc 5 (14)
R5: dc 14
Stuff lightly
R6: dc 5, dec x 2, dc 5 (12)
R7: (dc, dec) x 4 (8)
Fasten off. Weave in loose end by inserting darning needle in the front loop of each st and pull tight to close the hole, and sew together with bumps facing each other.
EYES & LIPS
I like to screenshot pictures of the characters when I make them, especially when it comes to cutting out felt for eyes. I like to create a template for felt eyes by placing a piece of paper on top of my phone and tracing the eye... I know, it sounds weird, but it works for me.
For Gothita’s eyes you will need one large oval white felt piece, one slightly smaller oval turquoise felt piece, and a small white oval piece. I glue this together using a very thin layer of clear PVA glue. Let these dry out for a while, felt is quite porous so you don’t want to drench it in glue.
Once dried, place them on the head. I would recommend using that screenshot again as reference when you’re working out the right placement. I like to pin them in place first by placing the pin just outside the edge (we don’t want any holes in the felt!).
Use black embroidery floss to create the outline around the felt eyes and the eyelashes. This might take a few goes (it did for me). Once done, put the felt eyes to one side, we’ll glue these on at the very end.
Pick up your Coral embroidery floss and use that to create the lips.
FELT DIAMONDS
You will need 6 white diamond shaped felt pieces. Before cutting into your white felt, I would recommend creating a template from a piece of paper to ensure that the size is correct. Once the felt is cut into 6 pieces use the clear PVA glue to attach these around the body.
